Coming Soon: Intimate by Kate Douglas

  • By: Jessica Faust | Date: Nov 30 2015

From bestselling author Kate Douglas comes the first book in a sensational new series set in California wine country-a place where love is always intoxicating. . .

HER BEAUTY IS POWERFUL.
They call her Kaz. She’s a gorgeous model with a good head for business-until now, at least. Kaz has just been fired from her latest photo shoot for having the wrong tattoo in the wrong place at the wrong time. But a chance encounter with photographer Jake Lowell could make everything right again…if Kaz is willing to accept his proposition. What does she have to lose?

HIS DESIRE IS DANGEROUS.
Jake has been searching for the perfect model to pose for a body-jewelry shoot-one that will leave no room for modesty. Is Kaz, who is nothing if not professional, ready to bare it all for a man she is not sure she can trust? It’s an offer that’s too good to refuse…and as Kaz finds herself growing more comfortable with Jake, the attraction between them reaches arousing new heights. But while the artist and his subject learn more about each other in the intimacy of wine country, evil lurks in the shadows-and soon it becomes clear that someone else has designs on them…

Thank you, Jessica! I’m really getting excited about this release, and can’t wait to introduce Kaz and Jake and the beautiful California wine country to readers. I met with the store manager at Barnes & Noble yesterday here in Hawaii and we’re all set for tomorrow night’s book signing at the Ala Moana Mall in Honolulu. One of my beta readers lives here on Oahu, and Jan met me at the store, along with another reader I’ve NEVER met who actually timed her vacation here so we could get together. It’s amazing how much three women can find to laugh about while sitting in a Starbuck’s surrounded by books!!

December is the first “Official” day of the holiday season here in Hawaii, and it’s also World AIDS day, so I’ll have a basket of red ribbons on my signing table provided by the Hawaiian Life Foundation, and a whole stack of copies of INTIMATE. I’ve heard from readers who will be coming by and it’s going to be a long wait until tomorrow evening.

Weather is gorgeous: it rains at least a bit every day, which my California-drought-parched soul is loving, and we’re spending time with the grandkids. It really can’t get any better. I could really use an emoji here–Snoopy doing his happy dance would be apropos!
