Over the years BookEnds has done what we could to support others–writers, members of the publishing community, and fundraisers for the world at large. Never would I have dreamed that we’d need to reach out to you to ask to help one of our own.
As many of you know, Kim Lionetti has been an agent with BookEnds for over 15 years. She is invaluable as an agent, colleague, and friend. Last week her husband Lance was diagnosed with Leukemia, devastating all of us. Anyone who has ever met Lance knows what a vibrant, hilarious, loving, and fun-loving man he is–devoted to Kim and their two children (as well as the Yankees, Cowboys, and 80s music).
So many of you have already helped. Your generosity, encouragement, and support have been overwhelming. Truly a light in this difficult time.
For those still looking to support Kim and her family, we have set up a GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial burden a diagnosis like this can cause. Helping us spread the word is just as welcome as any monetary donation you can give.
