Welcome to BookEnds, A.S. Fenichel!

I am excited to welcome A.S. Fenichel to the BookEnds team!
Andrea is currently published with Kensington Lyrical, and her latest Foolish Bride (book 2 in the Forever Brides series) released in March. We met at the RT Booklovers Convention in Atlanta this May, and I was intrigued by the idea for her next series. So when her pages came in and did not disappoint, I was eager to extend my offer of representation.
Hope you enjoy learning more about her!
Tell us a bit about your writing process. Where do you write, and how often?
I’m thrilled to be part of BookEnds. I write five days a week, more if a deadline is looming. My office is a lovely room with a very messy desk. I usually do “work” at the desk but sit on the couch with my laptop desk for anything creative.
Do you have any writing rituals? (e.g. burning a candle if you’re having trouble getting started at the computer or writing longhand first if you’re feeling uninspired.)
I burn a candle when I write. The one I have right now smells like Sage and Verbena. I have a little Guardian Bell that I ring to keep bad energy away from the writing zone. If I’m struggling to get started on a new story I type, “Once Upon a Time…” and that usually works to get me going. Then I delete the first four words as soon as I have the first page written.
Hmm… I sound a bit loopy. LOL
What do you love about writing Regency Historical?
All those lovely rules. Then I love to figure out ways to break them or at least bend them. 😉 Such fun!
If you’re not reading or writing, what would we catch you doing?
You will probably find me in the vegetable garden if the weather is good or fussing over my fur babies, a demanding dog and a strong-willed cat. They are both rescues and I love them to pieces. I adore cooking and my husband, Dave and I spend a lot of time conjuring up new recipes.
Where can readers find you on the web and social media?
Blog
If money were no object, what would be your dream writing location?
Sorrento, Italy. I love the Amalfi Coast; the air, the people. Heaven…
Plotter or pantster?
Loose plotter. I like guidelines, but I need room to breathe.
Drink of choice when writing? When not writing?
Coffee when writing. Red Wine when not writing.
What excites you most about joining the BookEnds family?
I look forward to a long rewarding partnership with BookEnds. New endeavors are like a blank page, anything is possible.
What advice would you give to other authors in the query trenches?
This is a tough business. There are a few things to remember.
-Join a writing group.
-Learn your craft.
-You can always get better. ALWAYS! So, keep an open mind.
-Never give up. Be persistent and polite. It will happen.
Than you so much, Rachel! I’m thrilled to be part of BookEnds and excited to work with you.
