Book Deals that Can Make a Literary Agent Jealous

Every week I read through the Publisher’s Marketplace Lunch Weekly Deals and there’s always one or two that are bound to make me wish they had been mine. Rather then just share them with my team, I thought I’d try to make it a regular point of sharing them with all of you. After all, I’m often asked what books I wish I had represented, why wouldn’t you want to do know from the deal phase? It’s the perfect insight into my #MSWL (manuscript wish list).

The one deal that caught my eye this week was a sale by author Sara Blaedel. I haven’t yet read her, but I’m going to have to add her to my list. This is a series that sounds right up my alley:
Author of THE FORGOTTEN GIRLS Sara Blaedel’s THE LOST WOMAN, continuing her series featuring the head Missing Persons Department investigator, to Lindsey Rose at Grand Central, in a good deal, in a two-book deal, by Victoria Sanders at Victoria Sanders & Associates (NA).

Thank you for this post. I love reading about other authors and their writing experiences. It makes me all the more determined to continue with my writing and be the best writer I can be. Reading successful authors is an enjoyable way to learn . I’ll definitely check out Sara’s new books.
