Because they are passionate and are great at what they do! I’m also a big fan of their YouTube channel and have been watching it for years.
What genres do you write? Read?
I write fantasy and thrillers/horror. I tend to read mostly in those genres, but I’ve recently been getting more into rom coms and cozy mysteries too.
Plotter or pantster?
A little bit of both! I used to be a firm pantser, but over the last couple of years I’ve experimented with various forms of plotting until I found what works for me. It seems to be an ever-evolving process, but I tend to mostly fall into the “headlights” method where I start with big plot points and pause as I go to outline more.
Synopses, love them or hate ‘em?
Honestly? I love them. They tend to help me focus on the overall picture of my manuscript. I find them really helpful to make sure everything ties together.
Do you have a writing playlist or a vision board? If so, what’s on them?
I don’t have a true writing playlist, but I usually find myself listening to Tegan and Sara. I’m also a really visual writer, so I’m constantly browsing Pinterest to spark inspiration.
Drink of choice when writing? When not writing?
Water or a glass of wine!
Day or Night writer?
It actually alternates for me, but currently I’m more of a night writer.
