Plotter or pantster?
Both. I plot but I also leave room for the pantster in me.
Synopses, love them or hate ‘em?
Indifferent. I have to be extremely technical about my work every time I need to write one. The moment I become emotional about it I struggle. It’s strange I know.
Do you have a writing playlist or a vision board? If so, what’s on them?
I do playlists but not vision boards. I have a wide variety of songs ranging from Kpop, African pop, French pop, classical music, RnB, Jazz, etc… If I vibe with a song it goes on my list.
Drink of choice when writing? When not writing?
I only drink water when writing because every second is precious to me. But when I’m not writing I drink tea or coffee.
Day or Night writer?
Whenever I can write around my kids’ schedules. Sometimes it’s in the morning and other times it’s at night.

If you could meet any author, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why?
I would love to meet Camara Laye. He was one of the pioneers of Francophone Literature and also one of my mom’s favorite authors. Aside from picking his brain about African literature I would shyly ask him for an autograph of course.
