What book do you wish you had written,
and why?
Tarot and
Psychology: Spectrums of Possibility by Arthur Rosengarten is a book that I
believe deserves more attention. The therapeutic applications of tarot are
often overlooked because of the idea that the tarot can only be used for
divination purposes. In reality the tarot displays many aspects of everyday
life while being able to simultaneously touch on many of the larger more
monumental moments as well. The symbolism, structure, and meanings of the cards
are perfect for the exploration of the psyche. I believe in the future we will
actually see a more clinical application of the cards being used by counselling
professionals.
If you’re not reading or writing, what
would we catch you doing?
I am what you
would call a workaholic and so you would find me creating content, working on
my website, creating freebies for my audience, and drinking pots and pots of
orange pekoe tea. If I’m not writing and building a platform, I’m thinking
about writing and building a platform and how best I can serve the kind souls
that connect with my work.

I try as best
I can to be active across most of the major social platforms. Instagram,
Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Tik Tok are where I spend my time. If you want
long form chats about tarot, witchcraft, and writing then YouTube is the best
place to find me. I also try to give back as much as possible so my website has
a “freebies” tab where you can get some goodies as well.
What’s the last book you read?
The last book
I read was The Laws of Human Nature by Robert Greene. I would recommend it to
anyone wanting to explore not only the relationships in their lives but their
relationship with themselves.
If money were no object, what would be
your dream writing location?
I can’t say I
have an exact location but I do know it would involve lots of books and an
unlimited supply of tea.
What’s your favorite quote about
reading or writing?
“If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. advice you’ve received?
Get to the
point and keep your reader interested. It’s simple advice but as a reader I
have to agree.
What
excites you most about joining the BookEnds family?
Honestly I feel like it allows me to have a firm starting point on
which to build a career. I enjoy writing non-fiction but feel as though I have
an adult fiction book hiding inside of me somewhere. Joining BookEnds means
that I have just acquired a fantastic business partner (Jessica Faust) who has
my back, and I am optimistic about what the future will bring.
What
advice would you give to other authors in the query trenches?
Keep trying and don’t give up. Every mistake is just an
opportunity for growth. Save all of your rejection letters, after a while even
they become trophies.
