Happy Halloween from Bear Vallere & All of Us at BookEnds

You can never predict whether the BookEnds Team will dress up for Halloween, but you can always find Bear Vallere, Teddy Bear to author Diane Vallere, dressed to the nines on this, his, special day.

Bear Vallere is the inspiration for Diane’s Costume Shop Mysteries, the second book which released this month, Masking for Trouble where “Halloween brings more tricks than treats for costume shop owner Margo Tamblyn in the second in a new cozy series from the national bestselling author of the Material Witness Mysteries.”

We love that little Bear comes by every year to share his Halloween joy.

Took kid to kindergarden today. Kid 20 months young. Teachers dressed up as witches and vampires, blood-like paint smeared on their faces. Older kids all dressed in black, the only stains of color a 6 year old Hulk and a Flash with pretty believable costumes. You can imagine how toddlers reacted, right? ALL of them. I have to say it was the first time ever that I really made myself heard in that place – I’m usually a docile person. It’s incredible that people who think themselves professionals didn’t see all the crying coming. I told them to their faces they did this for themselves, not for the kids, and that’s mighty unprofessional. I must add that I had to cook something for the party this morning too – I hate cooking, and I don’t use the h-word very often. So a bad mood was guaranteed from the first morning hours, LOL. That might’ve played a part 🙂
