Congratulations to Michelle for her first literary award. Pretending to Be Erica won the very prestigious International Thriller Writers Award for best Young Adult Novel at Thrillerfest 2016.

Since Michelle wasn’t able to make it I got to accept the award on her behalf. What a surreal experience. I did my best to do her justice, but I was a little too frazzled, excited and verklempt. The only good part of her not showing is that I get to enjoy staring at the trophy for a few more days before we ship it off to her.

Congrats again Michelle!
