Why BookEnds?

I wanted to be with an agency that cared deeply about me as an author as well as my projects. BookEnds is the perfect fit for me to continue to grow my career.

If you’re not reading or writing, what would we catch you doing?

Most likely chasing around my three-year-old or trying to entice my dog to go for a run with me. Definitely a cup of coffee in my hand, whatever it is.

Where can readers find you on the web and social media?

I am @authorbkborison on Twitter and Instagram.

What’s the last book you read?

I read WHEN IN ROME by Sarah Adams and I loved every single second of it. Heartfelt, swoony, and an absolute joy to read. I’ve been carrying it around with me in my bag because it makes me happy every time I see it.

If money were no object, what would be your dream writing location?

Rome, Italy. I met my husband there during study abroad in college. My balcony was just above his, and he used to throw wine corks at my window to get my attention. The city holds so many wonderful, happy memories for me and is deeply romantic. I’d love to sit in a piazza and drink wine and write. Nothing sounds better.

What’s your favorite piece of writing advice you’ve received?

It isn’t necessarily advice, but the tagline Chloe Liese uses for her novels is: Everyone deserves a love story. That is so deeply, wonderfully inspiring to me. It’s in the back of my mind with every story I write and I do my best to write stories that are inclusive, vulnerable, and kind.

What excites you most about joining the BookEnds family?

I am overwhelmed, overjoyed, over the moon to work with an agent and team that believes in me as an author and the stories I have to tell. It is deeply reassuring to know that there is someone in my corner willing to support my career.

What advice would you give to other authors in the query trenches?

Keep writing the stories that are important and personal to you.
