What you Write:

Speculative Contemporary Young Adult Fiction

Agent:

Moe Ferrara

Why BookEnds?

There aren’t many agents/agencies out there who are excited about representing a genre-crossing interactive author, but Moe’s enthusiasm and deep understanding makes us an ideal match!

What genres do you write?

Young Adult Speculative Contemporary Fiction, most of it interactive so far. I’ve written about tarot card cults, reality-TV-formed pop groups, superheroes, magic covens, monster-hunting, utopias/dystopias in multi-platform genres.

Plotter or pantster?

I can’t say I know what a pantster is, but I plot everything I write within an inch of its life. Does that count?

Synopses, love them or hate ‘em?

Love having written them, hate writing them.

Do you have a writing playlist or a vision board?  If so, what’s on them?

I devote way too much time to crafting playlists for every project. I try to get most of them on my Spotify.

Drink of choice when writing? When not writing?

Hot coffee in the morning, iced coffee in the afternoon. Wait, are there supposed to be times when I’m not writing or drinking coffee?

Day or Night writer?

Working 9 to 5, as Dolly Parton intended (really more like 9 to 7, but still, never been an all-nighter).

Twitter or Instagram? Or Facebook? Where can we find you?

Instagram always.

If you could meet any author, living or dead, who would you want to meet and why?

Kristin Cashore. Jane Unlimited blew my mind, and I write interactive fiction.

Where can readers find you on the web and social media?

The “Sergiverse” as one over-enthusiastic fan once put it on Twitter (and I immediately ran with) can be entered at https://zacharysergi.com/
