When I was looking at different agencies, BookEnds’ genuine love for authors really stuck out to me! They have so many resources for querying authors, clients, and their own agents, and that support was so important and special for me!
What genres do you write? Read?
I write spooky YA, so mostly horror and speculative mystery, but I read a bit of everything across age categories! I’m on a bit of an adult high fantasy kick right now (The Jasmine Throne and The Stardust Thief OWN ME, okay?), but my list for the next few months is definitely more on-theme for Halloween.
Plotter or pantser?
Plotter! How do you write the book if you don’t know every detail of what’s going to happen before you start? I don’t get it? (But I love the end result pantsers please give me all of your books)
Do you have a writing playlist or a vision board? If so, what’s on them?
SO MANY. Admittedly, I wrote the book I queried while listening to Phoebe Bridgers’ Moon Song on a loop, but the playlist has since evolved to have a little more than that (think Red (Taylor’s Version) and Home Video by Lucy Dacus). My moodboards, on the other hand, are very… green. I write books with green vibes.
Drink of choice when writing? When not writing?
I always try to have a water bottle with me when I write to keep my head clear, but I also love writing with a chai latte now that fall has started. 10/10 would recommend to any writer, we deserve a little treat while working.
Where can readers find you on the web and social media?
I scream about writing mainly on Twitter @hannansoph, but I will hopefully have a website to share with everyone soon!
