Welcome to BookEnds, Eddy Day!

Today I’m excited to welcome Eddy Day to BookEnds!

Eddy writes adult fantasy that’s laced with dark humor, my very favorite kind. If you’ve ever wanted to laugh out loud while sitting on the edge of your seat, Eddy’s the writer for you.

When he isn’t writing, you’ll find him hiking around Florida, taking some amazing pictures along the way.

What book do you wish you had written, and why? Iron Council (China Miéville) because it has more imagination per page than anything I’ve ever read, let alone written.

If you’re not reading or writing, what would we catch you doing? Hiking the wilds of Florida (which are growing smaller every day).

Where can readers find you on the web and social media? www.facebook.com/writereddy71 OR @writereddy71 on Twitter for the bite size version.

What’s the last book you read? I’m working my way through some eBay finds & just finished Arthur C. Clarke’s Childhood’s End. Brilliant.

If money were no object, what would be your dream writing location? The Blair Witch house seems nice. It’s isolated in some lovely woods and anyone who came along to bother me would be horrifically murdered.

What’s your favorite quote about reading or writing? Here’s a quote that encompasses both: “Books must be read as deliberately and reservedly as they were written.” – Thoreau

What’s your favorite piece of writing advice you’ve received? I’ll give you my favorite advice of all time, because it can apply to many things besides just writing: “If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them.” – Thoreau again! (Maybe I should change my first answer to Walden.)

What excites you most about joining the BookEnds family? I’m excited to become a constant source of bemused embarrassment and guilty laughter, just as I am to my real family.

What advice would you give to other authors in the query trenches? Jameson is a very good whiskey, but I’ve recently discovered the joys of Crown Royal as well. 😉

YES! Our agent mom raised us right.

What’s the coolest animal you’ve ever seen on a hike?

I don’t know about the coolest, but one of my favorite memories is watching 3 coyote pups at play early one morning after a solo camp-out. So cute!
